​Wedding Extravaganza!

The church looked beautiful for the vow renewal and celebration of marriage with flower arrangements, festival flags and each window imaginatively depicting a different anniversary.

Thanks to many local families, there were wedding dresses on display from different eras alongside photogaph albums, newspaper clippings and many other keepsakes.

The timeline bunting around the church listed over 1500 weddings that have taken place at St John's Church since the 1830's. It was quite a special moment to see Mr and Mrs. Hosgood, Cockings and Blackler returning to walk down the aisle together to renew their vows over 60 years since their weddings as well as some more recently married couples!
